DO NOT LIVE HERE.
I've literally never encountered such scum in my life.
I had a summer job in Vegas and this was one of the few nice looking options for short-term leasing. I signed a 3 month lease and even paid the rent upfront. On PAGE ONE of my lease contract the termination date of my lease was expressly written next to my move-in date.
5 days before my move-out I contacted the front office to see if there was anything they needed from me when I left besides my keys and the remote clicker for the property gate entrance.
They told me they weren't notified I was moving out and that I had to have given a 60 days notice of my move-out IN WRITING and that I would be responsible for paying for another 60 days of rent...
I told them that was absolutely ridiculous and that my lease STATED ON THE FIRST PAGE that I was signing a 3 month lease and that the move out date was even written RIGHT THERE ON THE FRONT PAGE. (So really they had a 90 DAY notice of my move-out in writing!)
They tried to tell me that didn't matter and that I'd still have to give a 60 days notice and pay for the rent for the next 60 days...
I told them they should go ahead and sue me to see if a judge would even consider the legitimacy of telling me I needed to notify them of my move-out date when the move-out date was already on my contract on page one and was signed to by both I and one of the property managers.
I then received a call from a COLLECTION AGENCY saying that Summer Winds had passed on a notice of two months rent owed to them...
I've now found out that that collection notice is still active and now have to go through the trouble of having it dismissed and potentially needing to take Summer Winds to small claims court to recuperate the loss of my time and wages in dealing with this situation.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. I REPEAT. DO NOT LIVE HERE.
They gave nothing but headaches and frustration to myself and my other summer co-workers who also rented units here. Absolutely NO consideration for their tenants over small mishaps like improper rent payment, delays of payment by even a single day, they clearly rely on making money by charging their tenants outlandish fees and trying to take advantage of them at EVERY CHANCE THEY GET.
I've never come across such scum in my life. Literally never.
