  • Don't be fooled by the glitzy lobby! The rooms are outdated and not even as nice as a Holiday Inn or Best Western. You can't book a room in person, you have to use a phone in lobby to book then check in at desk, seems stupid to me. Can't phone takeout order, you have to go in person to the restaurant, seems almost as stupid. Price is high but so is everything else downtown. Fire escape stairs are cracked at landing on nearly every floor, the faucets drip and the doors don't close tightly. The washroom had exposed plumbing, and there was lots of street noise at night. The whole hotel except for the superficially showy lobby is in need of renovations. Also, the wifi is free but it's slower than molasses in January in Toronto!
