I lived in Bromley for a year. I think some of the reviewers have been a little harsh, but there are definitely better complexes in the area.
The good:
Location is great, apartment was spotless when I moved in, spacious, decent fixtures and appliances, maintenance is prompt and helpful
The bad:
Management is nonexistent. They seriously don't pick up the phone & are pretty rude. The tenants are the main problem- people are shady, rude and LOUD. If you like unsupervised kids running around and damaging stuff, this is the place for you. The "gated community" is a facade- it's always broken. The pool was closed almost weekly this summer. There's not a lot of parking spots and people are allowed to park boats and clunkers wherever. To renew my lease would be nearly $150 extra a month. No thanks!
In short: sketchy neighbors and useless management make Bromley a no-go
