rev:text	This venue has the cozy feel of a small-town theater but a mainstream line-up. Shaker Square Cinemas is a great alternative to the huge cinema corporations, with very competitive prices and a $1 student discount (with ID). I've been mostly at night, but never have we ever managed to get a coveted parking spot in front of the shops. Instead, we've parked in the lot behind Dave's which has public spots at the far end, or you can wait until after 7pm to park closer to the theater. The staff at the front are always pretty cordial. I'm always a little miffed about the fact that the tickets are printed out on receipt paper instead of the classic cardstock tickets since they're not as nice to save, but eh. If you really want to save time (and are willing to pay a transaction fee), you can purchase tickets online. The online site also tells you how many seats are left for the showing you selected, so you can call up the rest of your squad and let them know to haul a** and buy their tickets as well if necessary. But, seats have never been a problem here - I easily got tickets for the latest Star Wars movie premiere and over half the theater was still empty. The seats themselves are pretty comfy and the rows are reasonably spaced. You won't have enough room to sprawl completely out in a single seat, especially in a winter coat, but appreciate the fact that the theater feels clean for the most part. Local theater doesn't mean that they don't still try to make a sizable profit off of concessions. If you want popcorn, beer, or candy, be prepared to pay up! If you're a little more frugal, there's never been anyone checking bags for food and drinks soooo you could probably bring your own. Probably. One last comment on bathrooms: three toilets and two sinks in the women's restroom will just not cut it. Please. For the small bladdered.
