  • So imagine my surprise when i find that the cupcake shop i've always imagined existed actually does exist and in the form of an adorable bakery in tiny downtown Lowell. Seriously, this place is awesome. I ran in one night on a whim to pick up something for dessert and i have been obsessed since. First- the cupcakes are delicious. The flavors change daily and the concoctions they come up with are oh so impressive.Cherry-lemon Sundrop Cupcake? Yes please. Cheerwine? Of course! The Putting On The Ritz cupcake is made with, yep, Ritz crackers. All their flavors are fun out-of- the-box creations. Secondly, everything is made using only all natural ingredients. This includes the ice cream, popsicles, cakes etc. Splat is more than just cupcakes. In fact, they are in the process of opening another location that will be a coffee shop as well. With as amazing as the bakery is there's no way this wont be a huge success. Thirdly, i love how you can tell how passionate the owner and employees are about their bakery. From posting drool worthy instagram pics on facebook to creating breast cancer awareness cupcakes- its very obvious that everything here is done with heart and that makes it the kinda place i want to spend my money.
