  • #pureprivilege , #PurePrivilege , #aveda , @aveda [[ZERO stars, but that wasn't an option, so... I want to make clear this review is of NO reflection of this specific store, but instead is in reference to Aveda's pureprivilege rewards program.]] That being said...do yourself a favor and THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING into Aveda's pureprivilege program, which includes (-at no additional cost-) TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Recently I was unable to log into my pureprivilege online account and called Aveda customer service about having this account re-instated as a one time courtesy, as many other companies who genuinely value their customers will do. My initial call sounded promising, where all my information was gathered by a very pleasant C/S rep. I followed up the next day and was sternly told (by a very UNpleasant C/S rep) that this was NOT possible and that I would have to [[get this]] PURCHASE another pureprivilege account with them, AND too, forgo all the points from my prior account, on top of it all. The verbal round-around I received during my call from supervisor "Sabrina" (@ Aveda C/S: #1.800.644.4831) appeared likely to be something read right from their standard, robotic canned answer sheet: "No, we can't help you with that, BUT you can repurchase another pureprivilege card." (...Like should I be feeling privileged just for that? Why in hell would I want to repurchase something I already bought once from Aveda so they can potentially re-marginalize me back into their "You don't really matter to us, BUT your money sure does" category one more time?? How Aveda chose to handle this customer service related issue spoke loud and clear enough to me this first time around.) In the technology age we're living in, a one time courtesy re-instatement of an inactive account takes very little effort, especially so when I've provided them with all the necessary account credentials. Aveda's loyalty program is little more than a company cash-cow trap where once you're in, you're permanently trapped on their hamster wheel; forced to buy what you don't really need when you don't really need it, just to guard points you've already invested a fortune in, (but will likely lose, anyway) because that's how they've designed this program to make their money. Literally on their half, money for nothing and a padded sales gimmick to keep you coming back, forking more money over, while coming away with little (if anything) in return. Clever sales psychology where the more points you have the more you'll likely keep investing in spending more just to protect your already accumulated point balance...(it's here where Aveda is betting against you to fall off or miss a date deadline. Then take note of how you're handled). Buy into the program and you're perpetually hooked onto their puppet strings...(right where Aveda wants you, dancing in rhythm to THEIR beat). Do the math and think twice before "inve$ting" into Aveda's pureprivilege scam because once you're in, that's what's expected of you to maintain keeping active points...inve$t, and Inve$t, and INVE$T some more!! Beforehand contemplate seriously, where do you honestly fall in any corporate (viscous circle) loyalty program one must buy into: are you a complying consumer puppet or will you (too) fall victim to this consumer death bed trap?? #pureprivilege , #PurePrivilege , #aveda , @aveda
