  • Nothing but headaches and charges with this bank. My rent check cleared once but then was declined causing my landlord to serve me with an eviction notice. Adding $150 in late rent and my landlord not accepting any more bank checks from me. Money Orders from there on.When i looked in my account, the money was put back in my account and all along I was in California from Phoenix and unable to get my cash because when i used my debit in California, Midfirst thought it was stolen. Unable to pay for food, gas and other necessities i spent hours on the phone with my bank trying to get all my cash out to get my wife cash through Western Union so she can pay the rent. The Bank Manager assure me I can only get $500 cash from any ATM since there are no Midfirst in California. NOPE! only $260 cash withdrawal and even then my card was put on hold because i tried to get $500 cash causing me to call bank again and then telling me to call corporate to get help. I was then told to withdrawal $260 out of ATM and buy something somewhere and get cash back with a purchase. NOPE! was declined once again and had to call the headquarters again to take that hold off. Very frustrating. I talked my wife and son into banking with them aswell and get $25 per person. But it takes 90 days to get that money. I waited 4 months and nothing. I even brought that up to the bank manager when he assured me about the $500 withdrawal he was so sure of. Hetold me to call and ask headquarters. But they are very quick to hit you up with charges and overdrafts! Just got back in town and went down to the bank and canceled my account. Even then they told me i couldn't close it because there were still a transaction pending from the previous day when i took all the rest of my money out before they hit me with any other more charges. My wife had her own issues herself and her card was declined at the grocery store having money in her account. Embarrassing and frustrating!! Im going back to Chase. Never really had any problems with them. I only signed up with midfrst because they opened 7 days a week and was open till 7pm. Never got that money i was promised for bringing in more clients! Got nothing blame for talking them into banking with them. Stay away from Midfirst Bank.
