I feel bad giving a one star review because the girl I had was really nice, but I went in for a balayage and came out with bleached hair that is now turning a brassy hue days later (minus the roots of course which are super dark looking). My hair was bleached within an inch of its life and after not coloring it for two years to preserve the integrity of the hair, it was a huge disappointment. The process took me four hours and cost $375 after buying the yellow Pureology shampoo/conditioner so my hair wouldn't turn orange (it did anyway). I didn't ask her to fix it because I was in shock and she seemed proud of her work. I am going elsewhere to get my hair fixed and eating the cost. Also, the salon itself was dirty - the stations were caked with dust and the ceiling had patchy paint. Some guy swept around me while I was getting blow dried and I got the impression that I was inconveniencing him by having a hair cut and making him sweep. One of the receptionists looked like she had rolled out of bed and come to work with ratty hair - they don't exactly exude professionalism. As a recent transplant to Charlotte from Chicago, it's been a struggle to find a reputable salon in the area. Salon 42 is basically a glorified Super Cuts and I do not recommend it if you are looking for the quality that you may have experienced in bigger cities.
