  • Stopped by last week.. first one in the door. I had fried chicken with greens/potatoes and buttered cabbage...I had a bowl of their creamy gravy on the side and dipped chicken pieces. The gravy went so well with everything that I ended up smothering everything. Came with freshly baked cornbread. Excellent meal.. Try the smothered pork chops.. or the Ox Tails. Lots of side dishes It's simple to order, look at the mural on the wall. No checks, just tell the cashier what you had on the way out. Smothered chicken (two large pieces) cost $14. Entrees come with two sides and corn bread. Fast service. Mrs. White (in her 90s) still bakes pies for the restaurant... try the peach. Her son, Lolo, has branched out and has three upscale restaurants scattered around the Valley: Lolo's Chicken and Waffles.
