  • Don't install these unless you want 100 pounds of PIGEON POOP on your roof and property within a few months. Pigeon's carry disease and their feces carry DISEASE. The solar panels are mounted so they create a perfect shelter/nesting area for pigeons. Pigeons in Las Vegas are homing pigeons. If they hatch on your property they will come back for life. They will make nests, hatch babies and the cycle continues. Within 6 months you could have 100 birds nesting and living on your roof. When you call Sunrun for help, they tell you that they have NEVER encountered this problem but they miraculously have a PARTNER that will come install wire mesh around the panels for $1,800.00. They will NOT help you with this cost. I cannot let my children use the backyard for fear that they will get sick. I have to hose down my back yard furniture and patio area every 2 days because it is covered in pigeon poop. The smell is unbearable. I don't have $1,800.00 laying around. I installed these panels to save $. Sunrun is using my roof to make money and they do not care that their product is creating an unsafe and unsanitary environment for my children and pets. SHAME ON SUNRUN!! I THINK IT'S TIME TO CONTACT THE NEWS.
