  • I've been here a few times and have enjoyed the pies. But I feel like I've actually had better pies from Village Inn for way cheaper price. I've also been confused before why I was always charged more for the pie than what was advertised on the menu... then I read another review that they charge an extra dollar for the pie tin. I know they see it as a "deposit" as they give you a dollar back for bringing them back the pie tin, but I thought that was more of a refund to the customer to thank them for continued business, I didn't know they were charging me a dollar extra for it in the first place haha! I recommend the company advertise the price of the pie with the pie tin included! I laugh at even having to make that recommendation... can you imagine if a pizza place charged you extra for the pizza box unless you returned it? Just seems like a poor business model, to nickel and dime the customer for a pie tin. Again, just advertise the pie with the pie tin included! For comparison, their key lime pie is $17 (oh wait, $18 with the pie tin...) vs Village Inn at $12 (they include their pie receptacles in the price :). I'm sure the ingredients are probably better quality, but I can't really tell the difference. I like to support small businesses, but can't stand poor business practices with the misleading advertising on the pie prices.
