  • *Due to HIPAA, some medical information has been left out to safe guard the person's identity* Life comes at you fast, sometimes too fast but that is where the ER professionals at Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) are there to help. Staffed by the industry's best and backed by one of the best medical schools, University of North Carolina(hurts to say as a NC State fan). It's not a bad spot to be when you are hurting or ill because they will go above and beyond to help get you back on your feet by providing world class care. I can say that having stayed at a foreign hospital, Spring Break 12'. Please don't ask why. However, before this world class care starts, you unfortunately have to park. The parking can be simply put as confusing- and left me with the same frustrated look as Cam Newton after getting up from being sacked over and over and over again. *hint, park in the patient parking garage and bring your parking stub to the ER to validate to avoid walking far* After, walking into the hospital you are greeted by the friendly staff which provides excellent directions on where to go. Checking into the ER desk, the ladies were very lively and had tons of energy which helped brighten the mood of being in an ER waiting room. Having to only wait for about 30 minutes, sorry wasn't wearing the Casio; one of the ladies came to brief us on the situation on hand and reassured everything would be alright. A few minutes later we were with other friend and he was being taken care of with the up most attention. The place overall seemed a little dated but clean and the attitudes of everyone I met that evening were great. Although our patient friend told me when the shifts changed the nurses coming in were quite "sour" like vinegar. All in all, don't like being at the hospital because it gives me the creeps but CMC wasn't bad. Knock on wood, I hope I never have to go.
