| - I landed in Las Vegas at 8:00am, I went to get the rental car and was instantly swept away by people in a kiosk booth. I was not aware of the Wyhdam Hype or vacation ownership! I was drawn in by a discount show to K'A, free breakfast, $100 gambling voucher( which by the way is used at Casino Royale- you can only use one slot and its in the promotional gaming section-of course you won't win). They also offered a three night stay in Vegas. Long story short, we were there for 5 hours. The presentation made no sense, no numbers , no facts, no solid evidence of legitimacy. They offered us three different packages, after asking a number of questions and saying no, we were told we would be stupid if we didn't invest. They gave really unreal numbers of vacations. When we told them we don't want to invest into this program because it is a luxury and not a necessity, they tried having us talk to different representatives(Total 5). The whole thing was overwhelming, exhausting, frustrating, and pure pressure. When we finally thought we were done, and signed off on the "Never get this offer again for less then 69,000" we were talked to again about a discover package with 20, 000 credits for 3,149. We decided to invest into this program since they had a lot of resorts in Washington State, Oregan, and California. Of course they tell you the downside while filling out the paper work.
You have to invest $1,400 before being able to use the credits. (The price of my trip to Mexico for flight, car, and hotel)
You have 20 months to use all the credits.
And
They don't have a lot of good vacation areas for the discovery trial. Plus you have to meet with another sales person, on your first vacation.
THEY NEXT DAY, I STARTED WORKING ON CANCELLATION! I HAD 5 DAYS TO CANCEL WITHOUT PENALTY. Cancelling took up some vacation time, but it was well worth it. I faxed and mailed my cancellation request.
The phone operators will give you the run around, they claim to not have a direct number for the cancellation department. They claimed they did not receive the request ( I had the letter sent certified, and my successful fax form). They somehow found it when I mentioned that. We are still waiting on our $400 dollar deposit and cancellation letter but PRAISE GOD WE GOT OUT!. This program might be good for income families that don't have to worry about budget. But for majority of us, its a scam and way to pricey. Please do not fall for the " you will never receive this offer again" lies! I will stick with Orbitz for now!
