| - I might have stretched a point and given D'Lite four stars except that everyone else seems to want to rate it 5* and D'Lite is definitely not that good.
This location is new and it is clean, bright, modern, and totally without soul. You could move a McDonald's in here and it would feel right, except for no playground. But who cares -- right?
The menu is modest but adequate, but the imagination is limited to the item names. But who cares -- right?
The food is better than fast food but not as good as some sandwich shops I've patronized. There are strong points, such as the chicken sausage, but ... To me the biggest flaw is the bread used in sandwiches and accompanying the frittatas. It's just plain dull bread. The whole wheat, for example, is the kind that looks like white bread except a little browner, and is baked from finely ground wheat kernels. This is barely healthier than the much-maligned white (check the glycemic index). The panini isn't really a panini, just a baked sandwich, and some miscreant puts sweet relish in the tuna salad. Who cares? -- I guess I do.
Note: the menu does not include calorie content - perhaps it is available elsewhere. I think that would be interesting and possibly surprising.
