| - I wanted to give more stars, but I had a very odd experience. I had been trying for one or two weeks to get together with my girlfriend and get our nails done. So when we got there they had asked one of us to sit in a pedicure chair and one in a manicure station. Even though we both wanted both. So we asked if we could do the same ones at the same time so we could chat. They seemed irritated and weren't very friendly about it but then put us both in pedicure chairs.
Lee did an awesome pedicure (though the $7 I paid for hot stones, the massage should have lasted much longer). Then Lee also did my manicure. I asked just for a gel polish change, not a full manicure. So he did the polish and then towards the end I asked if he could do another layer so the glitter in the polish was more even. And so he took the acetone and started taking it all off. I was so confused and shocked and the other guy next to us, who we will just name Jerk since I didn't get his name, said "you have to tell him before the top coat" but he hadn't done the top coat yet. I couldn't figure out why the polish came off since gel isn't suppose to with the acetone. Well, it turns out he used the wrong cord and the uv light wasn't on when I was putting my nails in to cure. So I apologized and Jerk was like "no it's his fault" and stared to berate him. He was being really mean and saying he shouldn't be rushing and mistakes always happen during the holiday time.
So basically Lee had to redo my nails. He rushed through it, which I understand with the lobby of people waiting for services, but I am still bummed. I felt bad and Lee was a really big sweetie the whole time so I tipped him really well. Like 50% of my services well.
So I'm a little bummed that my nails don't look great. My pedicure is perfect, but since he rushed on my hands they don't look great. And I was very excited for Christmas nails. I mean, in the grand scheme of things, they are just nails, but when I'm out $60 it's a bummer to have a half-assed job done. It was not my fault, even though I should have realized the UV light wasn't on. I don't know why the timer would be working on the uv light machine but not the light part.
The whole thing was weird and this review is super long-winded, but if I do go back (which I probably won't), I would only use Lee. Every once else was pretty rude, especially Jerk, who seemed like he might have been a manager of sorts.
