Exactly what Charlotte has been needing!
I could not wait to until this place opened and made sure I was there on their grand opening.
Located right beside Soul Meat, the parking I can see being an issue on the weekends when they are probably the busiest but there seems to be a lot of street parking.
Once the doors were finally open for business, the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Giving out menus to review before we were seated and answering questions. Even though it was grand opening day it was not overcrowded and we did not have to wait for a table. There are plenty of tables and many are able to accommodate large parties which is great.
Once we were seated at our table our grill was immediately lighted by one of the staff and our server came over to explain the process and start putting in orders for our table. We received all Banchans (side dishes) that are used in Korean BBQ and all of them were fresh and tasted amazing. At $30 a hour per person, we ordered almost every meat on the menu. Don't let the $30 a hour per person discourage or alarm you. I have been to authentic Korean restaurants in Korea and a few in the States and this is probably the best deal because ordering a la carte at other restaurants can really start adding up and kind of leave you still feeling hungry.
Our favorite meats we ordered was the Pork belly, thin and original and the fatty beef brisket. We ordered the spicy chicken but we did not really enjoy it, it was a little too spicy and really no flavor besides that. We loved having both options of rice and lettuce to eat with our meat and side dishes. I don't believe we even got close to the 2 hour limit, we probably only ate for a hour because the serve was so great. We always quickly received our new order of meat for the grill and side dishes.
Having been to Korea and trying to find a restaurant that was similar to the authentic Korean BBQ we had in Korea, Let's Meat by far has been the closest thing to what we had in Korea. The concept of cooking your own food and ordering what you like for a flat rate I'm sure will be very popular as the word gets out about the restaurant.
