Can't say much about the food compared to other Firkins we've been to. What I can say is that this is the first Firkin we've been treated negatively at. Maybe we should have done what "Fabienne" did but we shouldn't have to. We walked in the door, there were maybe 6 other patrons in the bar area so, not busy, waited for both staff at the bar to at least look our way and greet us...that didn't happen - not like they didn't see or hear us coming in less than 5 feet from the door. Waited some more...continued to be ignored and that creepy 'you're not welcome' feeling got stronger by the minute. We walked out. Since our move to this area 2 weeks previous, this was the first place where we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. I'll even go as far as to say probably because we were clearly a gay couple.
