| - Until today, I had been a loyal customer of Cannon Pharmacy since 2008. During that time, I have watched this business grow exponentially. When I first became a customer there, I was impressed with the staff, their desire to please, and their personability. I was extremely impressed with their handling of two long and drawn-out battles with my insurance carrier to get a prescription covered as it should be. I WAS a huge fan, telling all my friends and family of their service and prices.
However, things have changed badly here in their business. Approximately 2.5 years ago, I began to notice small recurring errors in the amount (quantity variations of sometimes up to +/- 50%!), and pricing of the two primary prescriptions I was using at the time. After several of these events, I became concerned about the accuracy and possible serious errors which could be forthcoming.
As the people there in the pharmacy and my interaction had always been very friendly, I wanted to give them every possible benefit of the doubt. When yet another of these errors occurred, I went to the pharmacy and requested a closed-door meeting with Tim Morley.
I explained to him my concerns with the frequency of errors that I was observing in my prescriptions, and of those I was observing with other customers while waiting there in the business. I detailed specific observations, primarily the apparent lack of organization, leadership of, and communication between the staff there while working.
Mr. Morley then assured me that he appreciated my concern and would look into the issues that I expressed.
Unfortunately, those concerns that I presented then have not improved. Actually, they have worsened.
On one prescription since January - had it not been a serious issue - could be considered a comedy of errors resembling Abbott & Costello doing their "Who's On First?" routine. Suffice it to say that it is much too long and tedious to detail here in this review, but is incompetence to the point of unbelievability.
This afternoon, this situation finally reached critical mass for me while there in the pharmacy. I once again spoke with Mr. Morley, and told him about my feelings of their operation. I explained that due to these constant errors, I have a total lack of confidence in anything they produce to the point of serious concern for my safety. Advised them that I would regrettably be taking my business elsewhere in the future.
I like to try to support local business and not some huge mega-national category killer corporation. This belief was what brought me to Cannon Pharmacy Initially. Sadly, their rapid growth has -in my opinion- caused them to lose their way.
Just as I told all my friends, family, and acquaintances previously about the good of Cannon Pharmacy, now I feel it my duty to inform the same folks (and you) of the negative.
With the experience I have had here, I fear they are only one slight error away from causing major harm to a customer. I'm going to make sure that it's not me.
Life is NOT easy here, despite their slogan.
