It was such a beautiful night for a spring training yesterday. Couldn't have asked for better weather.
My boyfriend have family in town and they're Cleveland Indians fans so we made the trek to this ballpark in rush hour traffic on a Monday afternoon.
It seemed like a very clean ballpark and new too! I would come back for another game but it is just a bit too far for us. Took us a little bit more than an hour to get there from the central Scottsdale area.
Wish we had the opportunity to try more food there than just the plain hot stadium hot dogs. More than halfway through the game, we decided to go for round 2 of food. The lines for multiple concessions were ridiculous. After 10 minutes of waiting in line at the burger place that is in the far left field, we gave up. The line did not move at all and there were a ridiculous amount of people waiting. I think there were 4-5 lines on one side of the building and the same on the other. People were bumping into each other, beverages were spilt and my patience was running low.
We missed 2 home runs and more action. We looked at some other food venues and decided it would be best to just go back to where we got our alcoholic beverages and get the $4.75 plain hot dogs because we didn't want to miss out on more of the game. Such a bummer because I wanted to try out some food and I can get a better hot dog at a better price for $1.50 at Costco.
We UBERed our way to the ballpark and of course, it was a pain getting one when we were leaving. Not sure if it was the driver we had or if it was the traffic but the estimated time of 19 minutes ended up being 33 minutes.
Overall, it was a nice stadium for a spring training game but nothing stood out that would make me want to make the drive out there.
