I have run across pushy sales people before, but I have never been stalked through a store the way I was yesterday. I was looking at rugs, just browsing for new living room make over I hope to do someday. I was approached by a sales guy & I told him that I was just there to look, I wasn't buying that day, and if I had questions I'd come find him (not difficult to do since there were 6 sales people standing together with clearly nothing to do) After telling him politely 3 times that I was just looking & had no questions, he continued to just follow my every move and did not leave a 5 foot radius of me for 20 more minutes, making me so uncomfortable we just left.
To top it off, when I got home and googled the rug I was most interested in, I found it on Amazon $85 cheaper with free shipping. Go figure.
Update: Thank you Hicks for reaching out to me. I appreciate that you'll be discussing this with your sales team, but please be sure management is aware. If this is how they're asking the team members to perform, than its a management issue and perhaps would be best addressed at the top or with the training department.
