Went for a routine oil and filter change last month and was told I needed to get my transmission fluid flushed and replaced as well as my brake fluid, which would have added almost $300 to my bill.
The service rep made everything sound urgent, saying my transmission was possibly in jeopardy and THAT would be a very expensive repair.
Hmmm... Okay.
I waited a month and went to another Honda dealership (review forthcoming) after I smelled something "burning" a few times after starting my car.
Did a little research on Google and saw that the smell COULD be indicative of transmission issues.
So I headed to the nearest Honda dealership and told the service guy I needed my transmission fluid flushed and changed. I also asked to have my brake fluid checked.
They changed the transmission fluid as I requested.
However, my service guy told me the fluid change wasn't urgent and the brake fluid still looked good.
Thanks Scott Clark Honda for showing me just how much you value your customers.
