  • The level of incompetence regarding the finacial aid dept is deplorable. As an out of state student I depend on FA as one class is $800 and if you take more than 6 units they add an additional $3k. Unfortunately, I do not have a money tree in my backyard. I am eligible for $5k in grant money which I did not see, because this college said I didnt declare a major. That is an utter lie as Im a nursing student. Theres no confusion there. So, I declared my major online and brought a print out to the finacial aid dept. Nonetheless, they said that they could not see my declared major and I would have to wait until next semester for them to process my major. Im literally standing there with the printout in my hand and absolutely nothing is being done. In addition, depending on what time of day you go or what campus you go to you will never get the same answer from a financial aid advisor. I feel like Im in the twlight zone. Im still in disbelief. Also, please advise why it takes over an hour to speak with a F/A advisor at the Charleston campus?
