I wanted to try anew sushi place in between my good friend and my office. Thus how I ended up here. I live and die for AYCE. This place was decent but I would not return unless I had to.
Rice to fish ratio: I would say the sushi chefs here use too much rice to fish. This was extremely evident in the rolls. I felt like I was eating a roll of rice garnished with a little tiny bit of fish. It's safe to say they are trying to fill you up with rice.
Fish quality: the quality of the fish was decent but not great. I'm a huge nigiri fan because It really enabled you to taste the quality of the fish. Not impressed.
A good indicator of a decent sushi place is the salmon nigiri. It's such a simple piece but contains such a beautiful intricate balance. From my first bite, I knew I would rate this place no better than 3 stars.
There was a few bright spots however. The super white tuna was excellent. They offered half rolls which enabled me to sample a bit. The sexy girl is a solid choice and the red dragon was good.
