| - My husband and I have been without AC for 1 week. Thank God the monsoons have been dumping. First, they came 30 minutes early while my husband was at work. They told him they'd be there later, so he left, took PTO, and they never showed up. There goes over $100 in working hours and my hubby sitting in over 100 degree heat for hours. They tell us they'll be back between 6-7am the next day. I get home from work at midnight, sleep at 1am. I stayed at my folks near Ahwatukee and live in North Scottsdale. I wake at 5am to be at home in time. They show up at 10am. Thanks for forcing me to sleep for 4 hours and be on-time while y'all can be 4 hours late. The reps who came out were nice but simply patched up work. Two hours later, I heard noises from the AC that sound like the AC did before it went out (that's why we got them in the first place). I called and got Amy on the phone. I tell her about the noise and that a weird smell, like fire, is coming out. She told me it was normal! The next day, the house would not cooling to more than 83 degrees (while set to 75) and the noises are louder and the smell is worse. I call and tell Amy we need a new unit as it is from 1988. She tells me new units are being her mor business because they're worse quality, that she has been doing this for 10 years, and that her 35 year unit is perfect. While that may be the case, it is probably gobbling energy as energy efficiency regulations didn't exist 35 years ago. I don't want that and want a new unit like my insurance covers. I demanded that they come back as it is a fire hazard and the unit turns off after a few minutes of huffing and puffing. They come back at 6:00pm and tell us we need a new motor and belt which they don't have on hand. I called Amy back and she told me they'll come today. I call three times today as I did not get a time frame and no answer. I call my home owners insurance. They tell me they'll be here between 8:00-8:30pm tonight. I had an AirBnB guest who was going to stay but cancelled when I informed her we have AC issues, I lost another $317. If done right the first time, this would have been fixed in Tuesday. It is now Friday! Not only is the customer service from Amy horrible (how can an owner purposely dismiss clients' phone calls), she talks to clients like they're idiots by making odd claims like loud noises and fine smells are normal. She also claims her experience means she can fool people to believe old units are better than new ones (in no industry is this true or possible). Their license should be taken away due to their negligence, and they should pay me for over $460 I have lost from lost business, meaningless PTO use, and fees incurred. UPDATE: they DID NOT SHOW UP!
