I've taking my cocker spaniel twice to the groomer here. Both times were awful experiences. I wanted to give them a second chance the first time, but it was just as bad as the first- if not worst. The first time I picked him up, I didn't even notice he was groomed. If it wasn't for the the fact that his fur was damp, I seriously would've thought he'd just been sitting there waiting to be picked up.
The second time really did it for me. I dropped him off at around 12-1 and made sure he'd be ready before 5 since I had night school. They assured me he would be ready by 3- he wasn't. They assured me he would get a full groom package done- he didn't. Apparently the groomer left early and theperson there could only cut around his groin area& his nails. When i picked him up at FIVE, he was damped & his groin area was irritated and bleeding. AWFUL!
