| - Dear Concentra,
I never try to give out the dreaded 1 star review to any business because in this day and age, its bad for business, but you're operating a bad business. I'm sure you that isn't new to you with your excellent Yelp reviews.
How anyone willingly comes to Concentra is beyond me, please go somewhere else, anywhere else, especially if its urgent, because you might die waiting here. The problem with your business is that there is a lack of URGENCY. Weird, since your business is called Concentra URGENT care. My new employer required I made a visit to Concentra and even warned me of the long wait time so I was prepared, or so I thought.
My first visit consisted of a physical, drug test, and TB test. Sounds pretty standard right? I fill out some paper work, do some preliminary testing after waiting about 40 minutes in the lobby, and then I sit and spend another almost 2 hrs in the patient room. I thought I could entertain myself, I watched YouTube, I snapchat my stick figure doppelganger dying in the room from the wait, and then decide to use the restroom. When I come out the staff stares at me like they're amazed I'm still here, yeah me too man. Later in the room I hear who I assume to be a physician yelling at the staff because the patient in room 4 (me) has been waiting forever (her words). A PA-C sees me, gives me my results and clears me for work. Three hours spent unnecessarily for the most routine test ever.
Two days later I make another visit to follow up with my TB test, arriving 30 minutes early because they the staff made it such an importance that this was "time-sensitive". I fill out the same damn paperwork again, and wait. Ninety minutes goes by and I'm finally called to go in. The med assistant who was about to give me ANOTHER TB test is stopped because I questioned her. The staff confused my words saying I was there for my second visit for TB for a second TB test. What kind of medical office doesn't check anything and just ASSUMES. I'm sent back into the lobby while the MA "searches" for my paperwork. Another 30 minutes go by before I question the front desk staff a second time about the status of my test before the MA who tried to give me a second test gives me a dumb look and realizes she didn't tell me she couldn't find the paperwork, and another tells me they didn't scan it. This isn't a small business by any means, there is millions of dollars in this company, and you can't train your damn staff to scan and store paperwork?
I get someone from my house to TEXT me a picture of the paperwork from home, and then email it to them. Stephanie the third girl, who said I should of done this a hour ago (which I would if you told me you couldn't find it), looks at my arm at the front counter and signs off on it, this taking a span of 4 minutes. So that means I wasted 2 hours here, when it really should of been less than 15 minutes.
Overall 5 hours was wasted because of a lack of urgency, incompetency, professionalism
Perhaps you think its unfair of me to critique so hard, but its not. I work in the medical field and if I lack urgency and communication, someone can literally die. I'm even upset that my employer has a contract with Concentra, its like I'm being hazed to join a fraternity.
Thanks for nothing.
