We were a group of 10, we went to eat before the hockey game. Most of us ordered the burger, two ordered the double burger. Unfortunately the kitchen didn't label which burgers were which and the place being a darkly-light bar someone else ended up getting my double burger.
I brought this to the attention of our waiter who proceeded to get me a new double burger. He returned with the new DB rather quickly which was nice after having waited a rather long time for the first order.
Here's where things start to go downhill really quickly though... As I'm eating this burger I notice something doesn't feel right, I can feel something cold in my mouth, is it the slice of tomatoes? I use the back of my finger to try and detect which ingredient is cold, it turns out to be one of the two meat paddies. Oddly and also grossly, It is not room temperature but refrigerator-cold despite its well-done appearance.
I mention this to the waiter and make him feel the paddy with his finger so he can take notice of it's cold temp. He offers to replace the burger once more but being pressed for time I tell him I'll just eat the rest of the burger without the cold patty.
Upon receiving the bill I notice I'm being charged the full amount despite the cold burger. I bring this up with the waiter who proceeds to return with a new bill discounted by 50% which is the least he should have done in the first place. Staff in this engineering bar seems to be a little absent-minded or nonchalant, service could be better.
