The highlight of staying at the Plaza Hotel was eating one of the most exciting breakfasts that I've ever consumed. Who here gets excited about breakfast? Moi! It's eggs and meat and bread and starches. Every lovely food group that I've ever loved all on one plate.
I had the corned beef house hash. It was by far one of the greatest meals ever and an unexpected breakfast dish. It had a huge portion of corned beef topped with some Swiss cheese. I've never been a Swiss fan as I think the aftertaste of it is quite outputting, but with the saltiness of the beef, the cheese worked well and was mighty tasty. There was also a huge helping of potatoes, your choice of two eggs, and a biscuit. All in all, it was enough for two meals for me. I'm one of those people that usually can't finish a normal sized portion, let alone a breakfast big enough for a caveman BUT since there wasn't a fridge in the room, I forced myself to eat it all and walk around with my pants un-buttoned for the day.
The prices are a bit steep in comparison to other breakfast joints. Our breakfast cost around $40 for two entrees, a coffee and a fresh squeezed orange juice. In the future, I'd get an entree to split and that would help with the cost and the super sized portions.
