| - Has anyone on this site had the same bad service I have had at this location? First of all, I decided to transfer to that location from the Chandler location (even though I had no complaints other than an occasional wait) once I discovered Dr. Petit (whom I remember as having an excellent reputation in Ahwatukee) joined the EV Family Medical Group. In fact, the company still leaves his "Best of Ahwatukee 2011" sign on the door, despite the fact he left the location sometime around 2015(?). I saw him once and really liked him, and then he was gone.
Then, Dr. Snyder followed by Dr. Brown entered the picture. While I liked both doctors' bedside manner, my complaints and frustrations between them and office staff continued to grow through 2016. I was forgotten in the examination room several times: Once when asked if I had to work that day after waiting to be seen almost an hour, then examined, but the doctor wanted to add on more procedures, (aka, insurance money-makers, such as "annual EKG," etc.). I sat for almost an hour longer waiting to be seen. Despite the fact I was not working that day, I still had a busy day ahead of me. I got frustrated and walked out.
Another time, I was told that it would be better to have a prescription written rather than called in since it was a Friday, and the medication was needed (I think I had bronchitis). I sat waiting once again in the examination room for my script for more than 1/2 hour, then heard Dr. Brown announce, "Okay, go to lunch everyone!" I thought he certainly was about to return with my script, but nothing! Finally, I walked into the hall toward the back of the building to discover a few people in a lounge area eating. One person checked the doctor's desk to find nothing, and then I was told the PA would be back shortly and they would ask him. Upon his return, I was informed he had called in my prescription.
Another time, I was given a referral to the wrong Gastroenterology Location because nobody checked my records to see what lab my insurance covers, nor did they check my records or they would have known I had gone to the correct lab one year prior! So, the new referral took so long to receive I had to go into the office to demand it.
Today, I arrived almost 1/2 hour late for a knee and lower back problem I have been experiencing, and in a great deal of pain, causing slow movement on my part. I was told that I was welcomed to wait to see Dr. McCabe that if somebody canceled, she could fir me in. The last appointment was called in about 3:55 p.m., with nobody but me left in the waiting room. At about 4:10 p.m., I was called up to the desk and informed that the doctor had a full plate of patients, and that she would like me to reschedule so as to give me quality time, when I realize all I was going to get was a referral for something she cannot fix! Grrr!!! I replied that there is "nobody but me here," and the woman told me that they have to give people a certain amount of time to arrive. I said that I know that they don't stop calling patients if said person on the appointment schedule has not yet arrived, and the waiting room is EMPTY!
I left upset and disgusted! Any other complaints about this location?
