My family and I do a lot of projects where we need various supplies and JoAnn's has become our first stop. Many of you already know what to expect when you come here. From fabrics to basic art supplies to papercrafting if you need something now and don't want to order it in you take the time to stop by and see if they have what you need. And chances are they'll have the basics on hand.
The secret to JoAnn's is coupons. It's possible (And I've done this many times now) to buy for example $200 worth of stuff and only spend $120 or even less. Coupons are the secret. Get the JoAnn app on your phone for coupons. Then sign up for their emails and you'll get coupons that way. And you can visit their website and print out coupons from there. They key is that each coupon needs to have a different barcode, but yes you can stack coupons to get percent off discounts on single items and even 20% off total purchase coupons and more. There are some limitations to be aware of but the more you use the coupons the better you get at learning what works and what doesn't.
You can also use competitors coupons. We use the Michaels app and their coupons. And we ALWAYS use the Hobby Lobby app and their 40% off one item coupon. Now I won't give away all of my secrets but with the coupon stacking you can save some serious, and I do mean serious cash here.
The staff has changed since my last review back in 2013...yeah don't judge, but the current staff as of Nov 2017 is friendly, helpful, and usually pretty fast. Again as many of my friends have noticed I check in here quite often. As my first stop for craft supplies, and being able to in some cases match Amazon pricing or beat it and walk out with the item in hand, you cant go wrong by stopping here.
