  • Pure and unadulterated HELL.....IF your thinking about taking care of DMV business on a Saturday, STOP.....and rethink those plans. I did a drive by one Saturday morning and found the line wrapped around the building and not one parking spot in the lot to be found. Decided on that particular occasion to not even attempt. Needing to bring the boy in for his learner's permit test. Went on the website and found this location to have the shortest wait time in valley on a second potential Saturday visit. Loaded the boy up and off we went. The DMV was hopping! Though there was not a line out the door, there was about a billion people sitting and standing around outside upon our arrival. After orbiting the parking lot for what seemed about a billion hours, we were able to squeeze into a spot. We walked in side the building to find a line to get our number. Looking at the number and then looking at the board, I knew we were in for a wait. The inside was packed with about a billion people so we opted to wait outside. Outside we went to find a shady spot and waited, and waited, annnddddd wwwaaaiiiittttted. If you into people watching this is a people watching paradise. But after a billion hours of waiting, people watching is not entertaining anymore. Four hours later, our number was called. We stood up and hustled inside. Our "window" was on the other side of building and after fighting the crowd to get there, the clerk changed the number right before we sat down. Ebony showed no quarter and displayed all the qualities of the stereotypical DMV clerk seen in bad movies and told in stories from your friends. I plead our case stating our billion hour wait outside, entering through the only entrance and having to fight crowds to make it to her location. She told me I would have to go get another number and wait. I protested and asked where the supervisor was. I was directed to the other side of the building. The supervisor made amends and told use to wait for a clerk sitting near by. This was the part where we paid and the boy's paperwork was reviewed. After this transaction, we were told to head back over to the other side of building and check-in for the test. The boy was given yet another number and told to stand-by. Number, numbers, hours and hours, attitude and negative vibrations....we left empty handy.
