My friends and I have been going to the Dependable as often as possible over the last few years, and we have nothing but positive thoughts about this gem--basically nothing that the large majority of previous reviews haven't already mentioned. Our only real complaint is that the line-up hasn't been to our taste very much lately, but that's not really their fault. Anyway, I would like to point out a few things that I hope will help those looking at all these reviews and thinking about going to the Dependable for the first time.
1. The prices have gone up a bit over the past year. It's now (as a few reviewers have already stated) $8 for two movies. Still an excellent deal, considering most theaters now charge upwards of $10 for one. The concession prices have also gone up a little, but again, the prices are still great.
2. They recently changed their outside food policy, meaning outside food and drink are no longer permitted.
3. Employees drive around the lots on golf carts after the movies, looking for people who need a jump-start. If your battery dies, all you have to do is flag them down and they'll jump you, free of charge. They also have multiple sets of jumper cables at each concession stand. Just ask the person at the register and they will be happy to help you out. They're very used to batteries dying.
