What a lovely, well thought-out hotel. I loved the quirky decor, which really works and is fun and bright and welcoming. The service is friendly and attentive and helpful. When I checked in, the front desk gave quite a long speech and yet everything she mentioned was a helpful tip (e.g. $10 towards the mini bar or food or drink at the restaurant for a Kimptons Karma member), complimentary wine and beer happy hour every day at 5, etc. The happy hour was a fun event with decent wine. Not a surprise that it's hard to get a seat.
The rooms are well laid out and colorful and playful. I love the yoga mat and quality, lovely toiletries and bathrobes, lots of USB and electric sockets by the bed.
I travel a lot for work and this was the most I've enjoyed a hotel in quite some time. And it was quite affordable, at around $170 a night. I'll definitely stay here again.
