  • You know, there are a lot of hidden gems in Chinatown; Trattoria Nakamura-Ya is one of them. The restaurant is small and intimate. If you want to live life on the edge, this is a great place to start -- where east meets west. Non-traditional Japanese-Italian cuisine with a twist that'll have your taste buds twirling. If it's your first time here, the Prix Fixe dinner is a great place to start. I was clueless my first time, but the waitress was extremely helpful in explaining the food & making recommendations. My only critique is the the dessert, although very well executed, wasn't to my liking. Everything else was delicious. Give your taste buds something unexpected.
