  • My entire story would be to long to write out, it has to do with trying to change a sales contract after the fact, and not following through on promises made. But I will tell you the service department is the worst I have ever experienced in my 20+ years of living in Phoenix . I am a car guy and also a shady dealers worst nightmare as I am well educated and mechanically inclined. So I bring my new Jeep in for its first oil change, I have owned many cars over the years and always run synthetic oil that meets the manufactures specification. My usual method is to purchase the oil myself and bring it to the dealer when its services are due. By doing this I know what oil is in my car and also I have all services records when its time to sell the car or make a warranty claim. This method has worked for me over the years and I like to build a relationship with the service department. So I made an appointment showed up on time and sat in the driveway for 10 - 15min before anyone even cared to see if I needed help. I said yes, I am here for my appointment. Another 5 min to find my appointment and then he asked if I was going to wait, I said yes and also asked if they would please use my oil that is on the front seat. He look at me like I was speaking another language. I asked if that was a problem and he had to call the service manager to get a ruling on using the customers own oil. He came back to me and said they can not use any oil other then what they provide. I said this is the exact same oil you provide when upgrading to synthetic as I pointed to their display in the window. They would not use my oil claiming some insurance issues with their shop. Yes, they want to ensure you pay more then double the cost! So I thanked him for his time and I drove off. Between my horrible experience with their sales and finance department and now this atrocious customer service in their service department I will never step foot on this lot again. I went to a Jeep dealer that is closer to my house and who has no problem using customer supplied oil, they will now be my exclusive service department for my new jeep
