Dr. Duddy was the 2nd pediatrician to meet our daughter at Mountainview Hospital. He was very reassuring and obviously highly intelligent -- I like knowing the facts and figures as opposed to acting on gut feelings, so it was great to hear him reciting statistics about childhood illness. Very analytical. But when he handled Frankie, he behaved exactly as any starstruck new parent would: he cooed and cuddled and calmed her.
My "aha!" moment was when Dr. Duddy was describing how babies express frustration, and he swung his arms in the same pattern our baby does. We are first time parents and instantly recognized this gesture.
