I visited Jazz Bistro for a business lunch on the first or second day of opening, so it wasn't too busy...probably 8 or 9 tables. Knowing they had just opened the doors, I expected the service to be slow and some other typical glitches you would expect. I was pleasently surprised to find that the service was professional, efficient and relatively fluid with no issues to speak of. The atmospere is very sleek and inviting with rich tones, warm lighting and nice music...since it is a Jazz club, I expected it to be darker and colder but was pleasantly surprised. My partner had the beef cheek parpadelle and I had the ricotta sage and butternut squash gnudi with pinenuts. We both commented on the exceptional flavour and I loved the fact that i could taste all the individual flavours and the texture was perfect. I was also happy to see that Jazz Bistro served unlimited Q Water (sparkling or flat) as opposed to bottled water and wish more restaurants in the city would take note!!
I think Jazz Bistro is a welcome addition to the city's dining scene and brings a quality Jazz Club back to the city with the food to match! I look forward to returning to Jazz Bistro for dinner and great Jazz!
