Here for a performance of Cirque de Soleil's "Crystal".
Cirque never disappoints!
The seats in this venue are padded so pretty comfortable. Talking Stick Resort Arena is the home of the Phoenix Suns, but we saw many advertisements for other events.
The Cirque troupe was 44 performers strong. Of those, 18 were on ice skates. The others wore special shoes enabling them to walk/run on the ice.
One of the intense moments was the woman, in ice skates, doing a trapeze act, high above the ice surface. She was great. Another great part of the performance was executed" by 5 performers in what I'd call "Hockey" clothing. They skated a high speeds up and over ramps, criss-crossing with other skaters in the middle of the skating rink and flipping over each other.
There was also a balancing act in which a man piled up 6 chairs, some chairs on only two legs, and then did handstands approximately 30-35 feet in the air.
This was the first on ice Cirque show.
I have seen several Cirque du Soleil shows over the last 30 years. They never fail to entertain.
