Where the heck did the 5 stars come from? Either shill posts or those that know no better.
Quaint little place. Greeted promptly, nice enough waitress.
I paid $13.95 for one roll plus an extra cheezy dollar to swap a few razor thin slices of questionable tuna out for razor thin questionable salmon on a roll after the waitress asked the "boss" if they needed to up-charge for the substitution. I would have given him $5 if he is hurting that bad.
My sushi chef did a good job with what he had to work with and put it up quickly. The wasabi was totally bland. The poor guy looked like someone put an anchor on his heart. Could be the "boss" or the somber environment or maybe just nap time.
Nigiri and roll pricing is exorbitant and the inventory in the cold case was sparse....and questionable. You can't charge super premium prices on Nigiri and serve shoddy proteins.
Boulder City can be fickle....if enough folks get turned off, and you can't make it on the few and far between travelers...guess what? You're toast, that's what.
I would drive to Vegas in rush hour and pay more for a decent cut. Never again!
