My wife and I stopped in to pick up some bagels today after seeing them under construction some months ago. The place was busy and at least 1 table was heard complaining about the long wait. Nice warm feeling space with some of the popular reclaimed wood look. This is a review of the bagels only, as we bought our bagels and left. We had the "everything" variety which means just that; sesame, poppy, fennel, garlic, onion. The bagel seemed to be identical to our usual bagels which are from The Bagel House on Bayview. Turns out the fellow my wife often sees at the Bagel House served her here, and identified himself as one of the owners. So the bagel is good by Toronto standards but growing up in Montreal, every other bagel will always be inferior. Sorry if I'm a snob. The texture / density and subtle sweetness is never quite as good, which is why we by them with "everything". I find Gryfe's bagels to be the closest and we long ago stopped buying them from St. Urbain at St Lawrence mkt. Good effort.
