  • This comment is in regards to Phoenix (Arcadia), AZ. My home club is actually Buena Park, CA. I went in today to Phoenix (Arcadia). First time using a club outside of my home club; which after my experience today, I am very much missing being there. At first I had to sign in, physically, which I found very annoying and is an extremely poor check-in process when it comes to customer service because of how much information they were asking. In my opinion, that form needed too much information like "why" I was working out at that location; which is really none of their business. Second, their wi-fi did not work and the manager is real snot when I addressed the issue with her, and apparently it is an ongoing issue, which is not acceptable to have an ongoing issue like that. As a result, I had to use my phone's wi-fi to play my iPod, which was not cool because I use my iPod so that my phone doesn't pull my pants down when I am working out, which created a new set of problems for me having to find a place to put my phone while I worked out. Also, the layout of that facility needs to re-evaluated. To those that workout there, the layout might work for them, but putting back and arms in the same area together - who does that? I spent about a third of my time wandering around trying to figure that place out. Lastly, that location is absolutely ridiculous to think that someone would pay $12.99 for a towel. No one has $13 worth of sweat coming out of their bodies, ever! It is especially absurd to think that someone would pay $13 for a towel when this location shares a parking lot with a Dollar Tree that sells better towels for $1! At least the Buena Park location understood that and sold $1 towels at their location for I think like $3. I would pay $3, just for the convenience, but $12.99??? I am not happy at all with this location, and will not likely be going back... and that manager thought I would transfer my membership. I would cancel my membership before I transfer to this location! They need to get their act together ASAP because this reflects poorly on my opinion of Planet Fitness as a whole if this is how I am treated outside of my home club. The only reason I chose Planet Fitness to begin with is the ability to go to other locations nationwide, but if this is how they are then noooooo waaaaaay do I want to keep going here
