  • This is one of my favorite steakhouses in NC and it's a gem in the small town of Belmont. The atmosphere is perfect. The staff are pleasant, great outdoor patio and the restaurant also is able to capture pieces of that great Belmont charm. Being from NC, I'm a big fan of pork and Old Stone does their pork chop right! I make the trip down from Charlotte every few weeks just to satisfy my cravings. They're also on point with the prime rib and filets. Old stone has a great bar as well. It's not large in size but the specialty cocktails are great. Plus they carry local NC brews, which is very important to me. Some people have suggested that their prices are a bit high, but I think the prices are relevant for the quality of food you receive. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than some other places in Belmont, but I can guarantee you that you're not receiving a similar experience or great tasting food. This place is great and definitely worth the visit even if it's not in Charlotte. I think you'll be surprised and you'll find yourself coming back for more.
