| - I decided to try out a new nail salon and based on the reviews I read on Yelp, I gave this place a try. I cannot be more disappointed with this decision. All these 5-star reviews confuse and blows my mind.
When we first walked in, everything was good. We were greeted by a gentleman and promptly seated at 2 stations next to each other. They asked what service we were in here for and we responded with Gel manicures. So then they took out the colors for us to chose from; my friend that I went with initially chose a pink color but when the female technician returned with the color, she changed her mind because it looks different than the display. She then asked for a light baby blue color, the technician rolled her eyes and went back to get the different color. In my opinion, changing your mind about your color selection is the least of problems. She did a less than mediocre job and obviously rushed through it. The edges of the nail were not smooth and clumpy.
As for my experience with this place-
I also wanted a Gel manicure, I walked in already having an idea of what I want because I am getting my nails done specifically for a wedding I am attending and I have to match it with the dress I have. I wanted white- not french tips but just plain white. The WHOLE SALON, every technician literally looked at me like I was crazy. The gentleman that was working on my nails said to me "you really want white?" It was extremely rude and everything just went downhill from there. I can understand if they wanted to suggest something better or had an valid opinion about my color selection but all they did was speak in Vietnamese about it and gave us rude looks the whole time. I may not understand the Vietnamese language, but I do understand facial expressions. Initially it made me doubt what color I wanted but it's what I wanted and it matched the wedding. Anyways, they sent me over to a different station with a women to paint my nails. She also did a below average job. As she was painting my nails, I kid you not, 4 different technicians walked by and watched and as they walked away they were speaking in Vietnamese about my white color selection. I only know this because although they were speaking in Vietnamese, they said "white" in English. An older lady said to me as she was staring at my nails being painted, "Do you know this color is very hard to do?" Which I found really rude. The lady that painted my nails didn't say one word to me nor did she even flash a smile and acted like she liked being there.
This was a horrid experience and there is no doubt that we will not return. I should have listed to Lisa C.'s review and not go here. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, there are too many other options nearby than to go to a salon that seems to not care about your business.
