I just signed up for my Costco membership last week and they asked for my email address. I asked the lady (wish I could remember her name) in memberships what they need the email for and she said just to notify me about a recalls regarding a purchases. I said ok I'll give it but I don't want any marketing emails. She said ok and I wouldn't receive any. Guess what I have in my email box now?...Here's a suggestion: don't lie to your new customers membership services
