| - There is a well known fact in Madison. Saturday at the Capitol Square is home to the most amazing Farmer's Market . Depending on the time of year, you can find all sorts of edible treasures. Honey, pastries, and cheese are all season long. You can easily eat your way around the square and still take some wonderful local produce home with you. Several food trucks and coffee tents are on the outer corners so there are good eats there too.
It can get a bit crowded after 10:00 am, so be patient. Bring a basket, bag, or small portable trolley caddy. Keep a good eye on your kids and dogs, if you need to bring them with you.
Plants and flowers in the spring. Lettuce, tomatoes, beans in the summer. Corn, cherries, squash in the fall. Those are my usual items I pick up.
