What happened? Have been coming here for years- decades even. Always the best dim sum. Our last visit was awful. They had a very limited selection and they hardly came by. I felt bad for these 2 guys at a table in the corner who only got food if they frantically waved down someone. And it was not a racial issue because they even spoke Chinese. The cart with the shrimp in the crispy wonton skin never came by so we asked a man who was taking orders for another table. He brought theirs but never brought ours. As we were leaving, I saw the lady with the shrimp we wanted standing outside the kitchen and people were having to walk to her! I figured it was because it was Chinese New year and maybe they were tired from celebrating.
Just went back today. Usually there is a huge crowd out front of people waiting. It was empty. It was a sign. Again poor selection. And then we got the pineapple buns- 2 out of 4 were empty! Literally no filling! I wish I had snapped a pic but didn't want to make a big deal of it since it was a celebration meal with the family. But we brought home some coconut buns and my brother bit into one and it was empty too! I got a pic of it. I cut the second one and it too was empty!
So disappointed. No wonder all the customers have disappeared. I wonder if they got new owners or something.
Guess we are going to have to drive even farther to the east side for good dim sum.
