  • Wouldn't recommend Tyler at all. I enlisted his help in preparing for a natural bodybuilding show that was 29 weeks away. I told him I wanted to be pushed to be as shredded as I could possibly be. Throughout the prep, I felt behind but figured I was in the hands of a professional and things would be fine. The general jist of what you pay for is slight increases or decreases in carb amounts based on your weight gain or loss. 200 a month for this and essentially this alone. Anything else (like posing help) costs extra. There were warning signs throughout that Tyler was not really invested in my success, being that it frequently would take him over 24 hours to see simple messages I would send him, all the while posting Instagram stories and other things to promote the business, while sleeping on what his business is actually about (clients). One time I actually sent him a text on his phone to notify that there were unseen messages (for days) on his FB messenger. Tyler reacted that I needn't message him twice and that he would see them. I always felt I was annoying Tyler by contacting him. Speaking to other people about their coaches, I would hear things like "if my coach didn't reply within the hour, I was shocked". Not if you go with Tyler. Oftentimes, he would say things like "I saw these videos a couple days ago but haven't had time to comment until now". Translation: I'm not on top of your prep but I'll say this everytime to cover my ass. As the contest drew closer, I knew my conditioning wasn't there but Tyler kept with the usual "stick with the current intake" model instead of pushing me to be where I needed to be. Any sort of concerns or criticisms are immediately met with "you need to stop stressing". Literally any problem you had with ANYTHING was labelled as you stressing and worrying too much. He told me at one point that the great thing about having a coach was that he'd make sure I got there in the end. I wish this were true. I had to increase my own cardio and reduce some of my own macros because he refused to push me, and it wasn't until THIS point I finally started to see some definition coming through in my legs I should've seen weeks prior. At show day, Tyer was still bad at communication. I sent him a simple text asking "what is your ETA?" He replies with "I will be there around 9:30 like I mentioned before". Problem is, this snarky comment was incorrect. Previous day he said he'd be there between 8:30 and 9 and I have the message to prove it. At the show, I was soft, and didn't even have simple things like tricep definition. I wasn't SLIGHTLY off, but a few weeks and atleast 4-5 pounds away. Tyler blamed all of this on my admittedly bad posing and that's the thing: I acknowledged right away my posing wasn't good, but Tyler refuses to acknowledge that he didn't do the job I paid him to do. In fact, if you criticize anything at all about Tyler or what he's doing, be prepared to be personally attacked, because he WILL NOT accept any responsibility or blame. His almighty knowledge is error-proof and faultless. Look elsewhere if you want a coach who is fully invested.
