  • I had breakfast here last Saturday with a friend and thought the food was quite good although the service seemed a little slow in terms of getting our drinks and the food we ordered. Raj, our server was very nice and professional and made some great recommendations. I was excited to take my husband there for dinner so we returned on Wednesday to try their menu. We decided to sit outside on the patio since it was such a nice evening. We ordered a bottle of wine and perused the menu to make our selections. We shared the watermelon and tomato salads which were very good. However, my husband, who ordered the salmon, had to send it back as it was still raw in the middle and he ordered it medium, so it should have been cooked throughout. The server offered to have another piece of salmon cooked for him, but my hubby was happy to just have the same piece cooked a little longer. I ordered the Goyza pierogies which were described as stuffed with shrimp, pork and napa cabbage with sesame, What I received was a mushy pink colored blob stuffed inside the pierogie, It did not taste like shrimp or pork, in fact it tasted like mushy salmon, which I do not like. I asked the server to take it away since I did not want it and it wasn't what I expected from the menu description. He offered to bring me a menu to select something else, which I did review, but decided not to order anything else. When the bill came, they had still charged me for the pierogies, saying that I had eaten most of it, I asked to speak to a manager since I disagreed with that line of thought. I had cut into the dish, and pulled the stuffing out, but since it was inedible, had really only eaten a small bite of it. The manager was defensive, rude and insulting and obviously lacks any skill in customer relations. I was not looking to get something for free, I just didn't want to pay for something I did not enjoy and felt did not match the menu description. She did take the pierogies off after I complained about the charge. Here's the bottom line: my husband sent back his salmon as it was not cooked right the first time. My food was not edible. We will never return and will advise others to avoid this place. I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 25 years and have never felt so offended, We will gladly take our business elsewhere. The manager, who I later learned was Regina, the owner, was offensive and argued with me over a $5.00 plate.
