This place has been around forever. The location on central for several years. I do like the sauce and often buy it alone by the quart.
I recently began working half a block away and stopped in for lunch.
I ordered a brisket sandwich with collard greens and BBQ beans as sides.
Strangely though they had just opened for the day, they had no greens so I went with slaw. My order was takeout, I think around $13. My bag was heavy. I was hungry and excited...that is until I opened my sandwich.
I expected some nice fresh brisket, juicy and hearty. What I had was a tiny hamburger roll with really dry chunks of slightly smoky meat. It was very unenjoyable. I realized of course that the weight was due to my two sides, which were good.
I won't be returning for lunch, for sauce maybe. I make a better brisket
