  • So we decided to try this place for our anniversary (14 years). It started really well. We had 1/2 dozen east coast oysters. They were delicious (although, I'd have preferred them a little colder). Next we had bone marrow, also delicious. Seriously, it was very good. For our entrees, Mike had thr scallops, and I had the burger, medium, which is pertinent to this review. The burger is supposed to be a big deal, they only make 20 a day. When my burger arrived, I took a bite out of it, raw. Like, not even warm in the middle. After I found our server, Giana (she seemed put out to be serving us from the beginning), I sent it back. Then we waited... and waited... Then I got my burger, which was the exact burger I had sent back. I know this because I could see the bite I took out of it. Seriously, if I went to McDonald's they would have made me a new burger, you'd expect a celebrity chef (as stated on the menu) to at least have a service standard on par with a fast food joint. I started eating. And I just got more angry. It's a burger with relish and avocado. Why would you reheat that? Gross! And is it even sanitary? Do you want to have a steak cooked on a grill after some stranger has taken a bite out of it. I felt bad for the manager though. He tried. He came over and acknowledged the problem. Offered some short ribs, which is nice, but I hate that. I'm supposed to eat by myself, while Mike watches, because a fine dining restaurant doesn't know how to cook a burger.
